Đáp trả bằng bạo lực là không khôn ngoan.

Hôm nay, ngày 4 tháng 01 năm 2017, chúng ta vẫn còn nhớ một sĩ quan cảnh sát người Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ đã bắn chết Đại sứ Nga tại Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ vào tối 19/12, tại một cuộc triển lãm nghệ thuật ở Ankara. Thế giới đều sốc khi xem lại video Mevlut Mert Altintas 22 tuổi, một cảnh sát, ăn mặc lịch thiệp đang sát hại vị đại sứ. Mevlut Mert Altintas nổ súng bởi anh ta giận dữ về việc Nga oanh tạc Aleppo làm nhiều dân thường thiệt mạng.

Đáp trả bạo lực bằng bạo lực là không khôn ngoan. Đáp trả bạo lực bằng bạo lực chỉ làm cho  ngọn lửa thù hận càng bùng cháy. Bạo lực và hận thù mà mình đang đối mặt hàng ngày giữa cá nhân với cá nhân; giữa quốc gia với quốc gia được tạo ra bởi sự hiểu lầm, bởi tâm còn phân biệt đối xử và tuyệt vọng.

Gốc rễ của chủ nghĩa khủng bố là sự hiểu lầm, hận thù và bạo lực. Bom đạn và tên lửa đã được sử dụng để tìm và diệt khủng bố. Nhưng khủng bố vẫn tồn tại.

Bóng tối không thể xua tan bằng bóng tối hơn. Nhiều bóng tối sẽ làm cho bóng tối dày đặc hơn. Bom đạn không thể đầy lùi được khủng bổ. Chỉ có ánh sáng có thể làm tiêu tan bóng tối, để xóa bỏ những hiểu lầm, những xung đột của 2 bên.

Kẻ khủng bố là một con người, đó là người với lòng căm thù,  tâm chất đầy bạo lực và sự hiểu lầm. Bởi sân, si mà họ có hành động đáp trả theo kiểu lấy oán trả oán làm căm thù, bạo lực và sợ hãi ngày càng chồng chất. Xã hội phải sống trong sợ hãi, luôn lo ngại  bị tấn công ngày và đêm. Chúng ta vừa  thủ phạm vừa là nạn nhân của những hành động khủng bổ.

Để dẹp tan được những căm thù, hiểu lầm gây ra xung đột giữa các bên, không gì hơn mỗi chúng ta phải có ánh sánh trí tuệ để làm đuốc, thực hành lắng nghe bằng tâm từ bi của mỗi bên, xem mỗi bên như là nạn nhân. Lấy cái ân, cái từ bi để mà giải quyết. Phải hành động với suy nghĩ, theo  Phật dạy

Lấy oán báo oán, oán thời chồng chất,

Lấy ân báo oán, oán thời tiêu tan.

All violence is injustice.

Today, is 4 th, January,  2017, we still remembe a police officer who was shot dead Turkish Russian ambassador in Turkey on the evening of 19 th December, 2016, at an art exhibition in Ankara. World were shocked by Mevlut Mert Altintas 22, a policeman, with dressing polite to such actions. Mert Altintas Mevlut shootings because he angered the Russian bombardment of Aleppo as many civilians were killed.

Responding to violence with violence is injustice, not only to the other person but also to oneself. Responding to violence with violence resolves nothing; it only escalates violence, anger and hatred. It is only with compassion that we can embrace and disintegrate violence. This is true in relationships between individuals as well as in relationships between nations.

The root of terrorism is misunderstanding, hatred and violence. This root cannot be located by the military. Bombs and missiles cannot reach it, let alone destroy it.

Darkness cannot be dissipated with more darkness. More darkness will make darkness thicker. Only light can dissipate darkness. Violence and hatred cannot be removed with violence and hatred. Rather, this will make violence and hatred grow a thousand fold. Only understanding and compassion can dissolve violence and hatred.

A terrorist is a human being with hatred, violence and misunderstanding in his or her heart. Acting without understanding, acting out of hatred, violence and fear. Whole societies are living constantly in fear with our nerves being attacked day and night. This is the greatest casualty we may suffer from as a result of our wrong thinking and action. Such a state of confusion, fear and anxiety is extremely dangerous.

The violence and hatred we presently face has been created by misunderstanding, injustice, discrimination and despair. We are all co responsible for the making of violence and despair in the world by our way of living, of consuming and of handling the problems of the world. Understanding why this violence has been created, we will then know what to do and what not to do in order to decrease the level of violence in ourselves and in the world, to create and foster understanding, reconciliation and forgiveness.

Those of us who have the light should display the light and offer it so that the world will not sink into total darkness. Everyone has the seed of awakening and insight within his or her heart. Let us help each other touch these seeds in ourselves so that everyone could have the courage to speak out. We must ensure that the way we live our daily lives does not create more terrorism in the world.  We should practice as the teaching of the Buddha

     

Action by hatred, hatred is more and more

Action by compassion, hatred is disintegrate .
